The New York debut of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Good Boys and True opened May 19 at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre.
Scott Ellis directs the production starring Brian J. Smith and J.
Smith-Cameron. Also featured in the cast are Lee Tergesen, Kellie
Overbey, Christopher Abbott and Betty Gilpin.
Set "against a backdrop of 1980's privilege and power," Good Boys and True
follows "a disturbing scandal at an all-boys prep school [that] forces
a mother (Smith-Cameron) to confront the truth about her son (Smith)
and herself," according to show notes.
The cast and more celebrated the opening night at Spanky's BBQ in New York City. Here are some shots from the evening:

My partner and I saw the play this past weekend, and really loved it. As it was set in the 80's, our era in high school, far too much rang true for both of us. We would highly recommend it!
