We lost another one yesterday as the Revolution announced it was coming to an end.

Most of the Broadway pundits out there have been counting the closings to detemine just how drastically the economic crisis is affecting the theater.

Sure, closings tell you that things aren't going well, but they are also pretty easy to see coming.

Apart from closings, what can you look for?

I like to watch what the big boys are doing during these times; the shows that aren't in danger of closing; the ones that shouldn't have any seats.

I pull out my telescope and look for irregular activity.  Show Spots I call them.

I've seen a few lately.

The LIttle Mermaid has a television commercial running.

And . . . Wicked has been heard all over the radio.

When Wicked starts advertising, witch out.
