why is American Idiot so high this week? A fluke, or a trend?
This was American Idiot’s last week. My guess is lots of repeat viewers, etc. The thing that catches my eye is the number for Lion King. Wow! and better that Wicked! That’s almost it’s best week ever, and not even a Major Holiday – Spring Break, yes, but that’s not usually it’s best week of the year.
I would really appreciate a broadway gross table 101 column, ie you tell us how does a producer look at an Arcadia that is doing just over 50%. What do you really need to keep a big musical going, is a consistent 70% fine or what is you breakeven point? Just a very fundamental look at what these numbers mean.
Good Q, Mary. Look for the answer to this next Monday.
