The Sunday Giveaway: 2 Tickets to All New People at Second Stage
I'll admit it. When Zach Braff was making me laugh on Scrubs, I never thought he'd have a play Off-Broadway.
And I've got two tickets to give away!
This week's giveaway winner will get two tickets to see Zach Braff make people laugh in a different way, as the author of All New People at Second Stage.
How do you win?
Tell me what celebrity actor you'd like to see write a play. Comment below and I'll pick a winner randomly.
Good luck!

I’ve often thought that John Malkovich could turn out a hell of a play.
Jason Segel!!!!!
Robert Downey Jr. seems as if he would have many interesting stories to tell.
Charlie Sheen–I would just be interested to see what he comes up with.
Tina Fey!
I’d be curious to see Ethan Hawke give it a go, as he’s already written two excellent novels AND is a theatre actor to boot!
Eddie Izzard would write something amazing, I bet.
Meryl Streep
Charlie Sheen! Oh, wait…
Honestly, I bet Edward Norton would put out something really interesting.
Meryl Streep
Mika! )I LOVE his music. And his concepts are worthy of being fleshed out further!
Liev Schreiber. He wrote one of my favorite movies, Everything Is Illuminated, and he knows his way around theater.
My pick, J.K. Rowling. I know she’s not an actor, but I would love to see her take a stab at writing a play. No wizards or wands though… just her creative mind, and I’m sure she’d create something incredible!
!Meryl Streep! .. Or Julianne Moore! Oh, or Tilda Swinton.
Don Cheadle.
Gary Busey ” The Pepperoni Prophet” ! J
I’d love to see a play written by Meryl Streep!
George Clooney! He’s halfway there with his upcoming adaptation of Farragut North, the Ides of March, where he’s credited as co screen-writer
I would LOVE to see something by Jane Lynch. Her sense of humor and comedic timing and so unique, it would be exciting to see a world of her creation.
Assuming he could write, I’d like to see Kevin Bacon write a play. He’s been in such a large body of work that I’d be curious to see how he’d put everything together and what would come out the other side.
If she could sit down long enough to write one I bet that Patti LaPone would have a lot to say for the stage
I’d love to see a play written by Amy Poehler. We all know she’s a great comedienne and actress, and I love the episode of “Parks and Recreation” she wrote this past season. Well, I love ALL of the episodes of that show…but I digress. I think a girl-power, funny-as-hell script penned by someone with her intelligence and comedy savvy would be a wonderful addition to the theatre scene!
I would love to see what Ian McKellen would come up with. He has such a rich body of work both on stage and on film that I’m certain that he would write something witty and fascinating!
Neil Patrick Harris should write a play about his trip to becoming the best award sow host, his bi-coastal homes and his find of love from a good man.
Alan Rickman
Lisa Kudrow – her point of view as a writer as evidenced from THE COMEBACK and WEB THERAPY is definitely theatrical and would be great to see on a stage.
Tina Fey! I imagine a play by her would be hysterical!
Christopher Walken.
He just seems so interesting. I’d love to see what’s going around inside his brain.
tina fey or charlie sheen
I’d love to see a play by emma thompson. she’s a brilliant writer and we know how much broadway loves the brits!
Hugh Jackman because for an actor who can somehow jump from playing Wolverine to Peter Allen and back again has to have some stories, and dexterity.
My first thought was Kevin Bacon. My second thought was Margot Kidder.
I’d like to see Snooki write a play. Not that it would be good, it would just be funny to see her work that hard and think for that long.
I kept trying to think of actors that I respect both comedically as well as their dramatic side, and yet you always feel like they know something that you don’t. I feel like Peter Sarsgaard is just a very intelligent and witty actor and something in him just bleeds talent. So yes, I would LOVE to see something he would write for the stage!
Alyson Hannigan
Jack McBrayer– aka Kenneth on 30 Rock! I’d bet he has a great play in his brain…
I second Emma Thompson.
Robin Williams, I think anything he wrote would be genius.
My first thought was Kevin Smith, but he already is a Writer first, a podcaster/Internet radio host 2nd, a director third and an actor last.
But that said, no one else comes to mind that hasn’t already been chosen, so I will stick with him
i would love to see adam sandler write a comedic play! i think he would do really good! it would be really funny!
James Earl Jones…
Stephen Fry or Alan Rickman – both so eloquent, intelligent and funny
Zooey Deschanel – and she should be in it
I wanna see James McAvoy try one and star in it too.
I would love to see my favorite actress, Meryl Streep, write (and star) in a new play!
David Hyde Pierce
Kelsey Grammer
Johnny Depp!!
Christopher Guest and Robin Williams! The best of comedy!
Ellen DeGeneres. She counts as an actor, right? I think anything she’d do would be funny, but I think she could write a great dark comedy. Trying to be serious, but not quite making it…
Donald Glover, he has a interesting background and is already a comedy writer……..
Emma Thompson. She’s done brilliant page-to-screen adaptations, I’d love to see her try theater.
TOM HANKS!!!!–he’s absolutely brilliant at everything he does!!! And I’d love to see him on stage performing in it too!!! He’s the one I’d lay down the money for those nasty premium price tickets!!!!
Steve Carell. He’s funny.
Ricky Gervais! Love him.
Tina Fey!!! I want to go to there!
Sam Waterston
I would like to see to see Norbert Leo Butz write a book entitled “No Butz about it”.
