Assistant Director – Theater for the New City
WHO: Theater for the New City
SEEKING: Assistant Director for Summer Tour of “99% REDUCED FAT”, a full-scale musical production with 30 actors and a 5-piece band which will tour all five boroughs of New York City in August and September.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must know Microsoft Word. Must have experience in Assistant Directing, Directing or Stage Management. Music background also helpful. Writing background preferable. Must be patient, responsible, intelligent. Strong observational skills and ability to take notes a plus. Works very closely with Director and Musical Director. Evening and Weekend hours a Must.
WHEN: Workshops Monday, June 18 through Friday June 29, 2012, 6-10PM Weeknights, 1-6PM Weekends. Rehearsals July 17th through August 4th, 2012. Performances Weekends Only, August 4th through September 15th, except for 8pm performance Friday, August 17th. Pay $25/show. 13 Performances. No Performances Labor Day Weekend (September 1-2). Includes Friday Night Warmups each weekend before performances. (Thurs warmup 8/16).
