Off-Broadway Panel Alert: All You Ever Wanted To Know About Casting

There’s an old saying in this business . . . you can always find an actor for anything.

It’s actually true.

But you can’t always find the right actor.

And the right actor can make/break a show.  Think about Boy From Oz without Hugh Jackman.  Or A Steady Rain without Hugh Jackman.  Or Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway without Hugh Jackman.  😉

The folks at the Off Broadway Alliance have set up a panel about the magical and mystical process known as casting . . . and you’re invited.

It’s this coming Sunday, September 9th at NOON at The Snapple Theater Center.  (Show up at 11:30 for free bagels and coffee and mingling-mania.)

Speakers on the panel include Casting Director Cindi Rush (Silence! The Musical, Jacques Brel, Freckleface Strawberry The Musical), Kaitlin Shaw of Tara Rubin Casting (Love, Loss, and What I Wore, A Minister’s Wife, A Little Night Music), Producer Rich Affannato (Silence! The Musical, Peter and the Starcatcher) and Director Thomas Caruso (Southern Comfort, Zombie, Shipwrecked).

Because of the subject matter, I expect this one to “sell out” (especially because it’s free) quickly, so RSVP now.
