The ultimate “social network.”
Last week, we held our fifth annual Producer’s Perspective Social, and I don’t know about anyone else, but I had a blast.
We had to cut the RSVPs off at 250 passionate Producers, Writers, Actors and theater lovers of all ages (including one America’s Got Talent Star). And somehow, more than 250 showed. :-)
We ate mozzarella sticks and crudite. We drank Producer’s Punch (my own trademark concoction). And we talked about the ups and down of the past year, and how the next year was going to be full of even more ups.
Oh, and I served up a lot of Pez from a Santa Pez dispenser (Look for him in the photos below).
The Social is my favorite event of the year. It’s a great reminder that as much work as we all do to market our shows and ourselves online, it’s imperative that you take that energy offline once in a while. An online social network doesn’t have the synergistic energy as an ol’ fashioned, in person, actual social . . . network.
Enjoy the photos below . . . and I hope you’ll join us next year for the 6th Social.

Hey Ken, don’t know if it’s my computer or yours but only one of the photos is visible to me.
Ken and Company,
Thanks for a great time. (I’m Vincent Amelio, playwright of Casabarka, in top photo on the left.) Everyone spoke warmly of Ken as a person. Producers, writers, and actors told me of how you “go against the grain” by opening your doors for a social that helps people connect and support each other. Also, it’s clear that you value treating people with respect, which the world needs. I’m looking forward to Jan. 19th, since I’m taking the seminar, “How to Get Your Show off the Ground.” I wish you all the success that you clearly deserve in the New Year!
Had a blast. Cant wait till next years!
