The most popular posts of the month: December
Time for that monthly summary of what got your attention last month here at The Producer’s Perspective
- The most read post AND the most commented on post of the month: Stephen Sondheim helps answer the Q “Why we do what we do.”
- The comment of the month is from Paul Mendenhall and was in response to Have you ever tasted “Note Stew?”:
When something is wrong with a script, everyone gives you a different way to fix it. The truth is, you have to stick to your own vision, or you end-up with a complete mess that pleases no one; not even you.

Yes, the post was very moving. My parents could never
afford the theater. I’m fortunate to be able to buy
tickets to the theater (at discounts, may I say).
Theater gives me the opportunity to forget cares of life and escape for a couple to three hours into the
story of the show. Enjoying the talent of the performers is the “icing on the cake”. Theater does give us JOY and food for thought. What Joy were people able to give to this couple? Did they get season tickets?
I second the comment of the month regarding note stew. As Polonius advised Laertes, “This above all else, to thine own self be true.” The best note I have heard from you Ken is “When everyone else is going right, go left.” Or vice versa.
