The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to The Beatles Back Beat!
Hey LA readers, this giveaway is for you.
Today we’re giving away two tickets to Back Beat: The Birth of The Beatles, a brand new Beatles musical that’s been making ‘em twist and shout in London, and is now making its US premiere at the Ahmanson in LA.
Yep, Back Beat is about to land on our shores, just the way the Beatles did way back when. That makes, the Ahmanson the new Ed Sullivan show.
How many of you remember that Beatles debut on The Ed Sullivan Show? Let me ask you a bit of trivia . . .
What was the 2nd song the Beatles performed on that magical musical night, arguably the most important in their musical career?
Anyone? Bueller?
It was ‘Til There Was You . . . from The Music Man.
No lie. Read this blog from ’08 to see it in the youtube flesh.
So, that gets me thinking . . . name a popular band/singer from today’s day and age and a show tune you’d like to see them cover and toss it in the comments below and maybe you’ll head to Back Beat in LA! For example: Eminem – “Tea for Two” from No, No, Nanette.
(BTW, these tickets are transferrable – so NY and other residents, enter away, and give the gift of the Beatles to your warmer, tanner friends in Southern Cali.)
Go!
(Got a comment? I love ‘em, so comment below! Click here then scroll down to say what’s on your mind!)
