THE 30 DAY SCRIPT CHALLENGE
The 30 day script challenge was successful for me. I stuck with it and polished my first draft within two weeks after the challenge. Since then, I sent the draft to Eric Webb and to my playwriting mentor, Clifford Lee Johnson III, for their comments. I thought a dramatic, 13th-century period piece of the life of St. Margaret of Cortona would be of interest to my alma mater, Ohio Dominican University. So I scheduled a meeting with the department. In the Mastermind group Christian de Gre’ helped me polish my pitch. It worked! A production has been scheduled for early December. Now, to do another re-write.Amy D. Writer
Oh, where to begin. I loved the 30 day challenge. I wrote and finished an outline that helped me map out the story I was have been having a hard time piecing together all of these years. Through the first 6 or so exercises of the 30 day challenge I now have a complete understanding of the world of the play and who/what the story is about. I discovered that I didn’t need certain characters, that some of the characters I had are one person instead of three and that a character I thought was on the sideline is actually a central figure in the play.Ravin Patterson Playwright
It’s great. I’m using the #30dayscriptchallenge to write a new play and the book to a new musical. It’s really helpful so I would highly recommend it! Oh, and I’m using it to write a talk as well so it’s not only for stage plays/musicals. Love your stuff and I’m so glad I’m part of Pro.Michael Merritt Playwright
