KEN DAVENPORT

Ken is a Tony Award-winning producer of Broadway and Off Broadway shows, including most recently the first Broadway revival of Once On This Island, Groundhog Day: The Musical, Deaf West’s Spring Awakening, and The Play That Goes Wrong, as well as the original musical Gettin’ the Band Back Together. Davenport has revolutionized the Broadway market with his diverse approaches at engaging audiences through his shows, as well as supported the Broadway ecosystem through a number of his own subsidiary businesses. He is an internationally recognized and award-winning writer of several Broadway and Off Broadway shows as well as several books about producing, Broadway investing, and how to raise money for shows. Additionally, he is the Executive Producer for North America for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group.

In 2004, he formed Davenport Theatrical Enterprises and began producing his own shows.  His “first born” was The Awesome 80s Prom, which ran for 10 years, followed quickly by the Outer Critics Circle Award-Winning Best Musical Altar Boyz, and My First Time, which has been seen in over 20 countries worldwide.  He was the first producer to have three shows running simultaneously Off Broadway.

In his mission to continually educate, entertain and inspire the world through theatre, Davenport has made headlines by doing @#$% that other people don’t.

JOHN CARIANI

 As a playwright, he is best known for his first play, Almost, Maine, which has become one of the most frequently produced plays in the United States. He starred on Broadway in the Tony Award winning musical Something Rotten! as Nigel Bottom and is currently starring in the Tony-nominated Broadway musical The Band's Visit.

ITAMAR MOSES

Itamar Moses is the author of the full-length plays OUTRAGE, BACH AT LEIPZIG, CELEBRITY ROW, THE FOUR OF US, YELLOWJACKETS, BACK BACK BACK, COMPLETENESS, and THE WHISTLEBLOWER, the musicals NOBODY LOVES YOU (with Gaby Alter), FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE (with Michael Friedman), and THE BAND’S VISIT (with David Yazbek), and the evening of short plays LOVE/STORIES (OR BUT YOU WILL GET USED TO IT). His work has appeared Off-Broadway and elsewhere in New York, at regional theatres across the country and in Canada, Hong Kong, Israel, Venezuela, Turkey and Chile, and is published by Faber & Faber and Samuel French. Awards for his work include Lucille Lortel, New York Drama Critics Circle, Outer Critics Circle, and Obie awards in New York, as well as awards from the Portland, San Diego, Dallas, and Bay Area Theatre Critics Circles. He’s received new play commissions from The McCarter, Playwrights Horizons, Berkeley Rep, The Wilma Theater, South Coast Rep, Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center, and The Goodman. On television, Itamar has written for TNT’s MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE, WGN’S OUTSIDERS and SHOWTIME’S THE AFFAIR. He holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU and has taught playwriting at Yale and NYU. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and is a New York Theatre Workshop Usual Suspect. Born in Berkeley, CA, he now lives in Brooklyn, NY.

 LISA KRON

Lisa Kron is a writer and performer whose work has been widely produced in New York, regionally, and internationally.  She wrote the book and lyrics for musical Fun Home, with music by composer Jeanine Tesori, which won five 2015 Tony awards including Best Book, Score, and Musical, and was finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.  Lisa’s other plays include In The Wake, Well, and the Obie Award winning 2.5 Minute Ride.   As an actor she received a Tony award nomination for her performance in Well and a Lortel Award for her turn as Mrs. Mi-Tzu and Mrs. Yang in the Foundry Theater’s acclaimed production of Good Person of Szechuan.  She is the recipient of Guggenheim, Sundance and MacDowell fellowships, a Doris Duke Performing Artists Award, a Cal Arts/Alpert Award, a Helen Merrill Award, the Kleban Prize for libretto writing, and grants from the Creative Capital and NYFA.  Lisa is also founding member of the OBIE- and Bessie-Award-winning collaborative theater company The Five Lesbian Brothers.  She serves on the boards of the MacDowell Colony and the Sundance Institute, and as Council Vice President of the Dramatists Guild of America

 

DIANA SON

Diana has a nearly 20-year long career as an award-winning playwright and t.v. writer/producer. She is currently Co-Executive Producer of “Dirty John” for Bravo, was co-showrunner and Executive Producer of Season 1 of the Netflix series “Thirteen Reasons Why,” and has been Emmy-nominated twice as Co-Executive Producer of the ABC series “American Crime.” In 2015 she created and executive produced the pilot “Love is a Four-Letter Word” for NBC directed by George Tillman. She has also been a writer/producer for a number of series including “Southland,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Do No Harm” and started her t.v. career as a staff writer for “The West Wing.” Diana has also written a number of pilots for HBO, Amazon, CBS, NBC and A&E.

Diana is also the author of the plays Stop Kiss, Satellites, BOY, R.A.W. (‘Cause I’m a Woman) and others. Stop Kiss and Satellites premiered at the Public Theater in NYC. Stop Kiss was extended at the Public Theater three times and won the GLAAD Media Award for Best New York Production and Diana won the John Gassner Playwriting Prize and the Berilla Kerr Award for playwriting. Stop Kiss has been produced at hundreds of theatres nationally and abroad and been translated into a number of different languages including Hungarian, Japanese, and Korean. Her previous plays include BOY, Fishes, and R.A.W. (‘Cause I’m a Woman). Amongst the theatres Diana’s plays have been produced at are: La Jolla Playhouse, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Rep, Woolly Mammoth, Delaware Theatre Company, BRAVA, New Georges, and many others.

Diana has been the recipient of an NEA/TCG residency grant at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and a Brooks Atkinson Fellowship at the National Theatre in London. She has taught playwriting at NYU’s Department of Dramatic Writing and the Yale School of Drama. She is currently Program Chair of the Dramatists Guild Foundation’s Playwriting Fellowship program. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 3 sons.

 DES MCANUFF

Des McAnuff  is a two-time Tony Award-winning director and former Artistic Director of the Stratford Festival. He is also Director Emeritus of La Jolla Playhouse, where during his tenure as Artistic Director he staged more than 35 productions of classics, new plays and musicals. STEPHEN BYRD

Stephen C. Byrd Founded Front Row Productions, Inc. who’s primary purpose is to shine the spotlight on diversity, inclusion and non-traditional casting on the Broadway stage where he remains as CEO/President. Byrd and Jones are currently the only African American full time Producers on Broadway and London’s West End.

Byrd and his Producing Partner, Alia M. Jones-Harvey mounted their first African-American Broadway production of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which became the highest-grossing play on Broadway in 2008 .The Play then transferred to London’s West End, where it replicated the same success that it did on Broadway. The Play won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Revival of a Play.

Byrd engaged with another classic, by launching a multiracial production of A Streetcar Named Desire, starring Blair Underwood, and Nicole Ari Parker.

Byrd and Jones-Harvey also comprised the producing team for The Trip to Bountiful, the critically-acclaimed production which starred the legendary Cicely Tyson, who won the Tony Award for Best Actress in A Play, Outer Critic’s Circle and Drama Desk awards.

Front Row Productions has proven their immensely adaptative talents with their multiracially cast version of Romeo and Juliet starring Orlando Bloom (making his Broadway debut) and Condola Rashad.

Front Row partnered with The Public Theater to produce the powerful new play, Eclipsed, by written Danai Gurira, and Directed by Liesl Tommy which starred Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong’o where she made her Off-Broadway and and her Broadway debut in Eclipsed which garnered 6 Tony Award Nominations, and numerous other Nominations and Awards, including the Nortels, Audelco, and Outer Critics Awards Front Row currently has partnered with Cirque du Soleil for Paramour ( the first Cirque Musical Spectacular Production to land permanently on Broadway).which recently just closed, and will open in Hamburg Germany in 2018.

Front Row Productions is currently in development with the classic Black Orpheus a new musical bound for Broadway, Directed by multi Tony Award winning Director George C Wolfe, Book by the multi Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, and Music by Daryl Waters.

ALIA JONES-HARVEY

Alia Jones-Harvey, an Olivier Award Winning and Tony Nominated Producer, has spent the past ten years mounting productions on Broadway and London’s West End with a focus on diverse talent and new voices.  Jones-Harvey and her producing partner Stephen C. Byrd, founder of Front Row Productions, are paving a path as the only two African American lead producers on Broadway.  Featuring multi-ethnic casting, her past productions include Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof directed by Debbie Allen and starring James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, Terrence Howard and Anika Noni Rose; Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire starring Blair Underwood, Nicole Ari Parker and Wood Harris in their Broadway debutes; Horton Foote’s The Trip to Bountiful starring Cicely Tyson, who won her first Tony Award for that heart-stirring performance; Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet starring Condola Rashad and Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut; Danai Gurira’s Eclipsed, directed by Liesl Tommy, starring Lupita Nyong’o in her Broadway debut, and nominated for 6 Tony Awards; and Paramour, the first Cirque du Soleil musical on Broadway.  Front Row co-produced Iceman Cometh on Broadway directed by George C. Wolfe and starring Denzel Washington. HAL LUFTIG

Hal Luftig is currently the lead producer of Kinky Boots. Since opening in New York in 2013, Kinky Boots has gone on to delight and move audiences across North America, in London, Europe, and Asia. It has garnered every major musical theater award along the way, including the Best Musical Tony Award (New York), the Best Musical Olivier Award (London), the Best Musical Grammy Award (U.S.), the Best Musical Dora Award (Toronto), the Korea Musical Theater Association Award, and many others. As a leading producer of New York, London, and global theater for 25 years, Hal has collaborated with some its most brilliant creative artists. His productions have received 45 Tony Awards on Broadway. He has been honored personally with four Tony's, and two Olivier Awards in London. NEIL PEPE

Neil Pepe is an acclaimed director and has been the Artistic Director of the Atlantic Theater Company since 1992. Under Neil’s direction the Atlantic has established itself as one of the premiere Off Broadway theater companies in New York. Atlantic and Neil were awarded a 2009 Drama Desk Award for “exceptional craftsmanship, dedication to excellence and productions that engage, inspire and enlighten.” Most recently Atlantic’s production of The Band’s Visit moved to Broadway and won 10 Tony awards including Best Musical. Other notable productions include Spring Awakening (Tony Award Best Musical), Martin McDonagh’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane and The Lieutenant of Inishmore as well as many premieres by playwrights including Annie Baker, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Dominique Morisseau, Jez Butterworth, Ngozi Anwanyu, Kenneth Lonergan, Bekah Brunstetter, David Mamet, Lauren Yee, Conor McPherson, Halley Feiffer, Rajiv Joseph, Paola Lazaro, Simon Stephens, Melissa James Gibson, Edwin Sanchez and Fernanda Coppel among many others.

Neil has been a master teacher at the Atlantic Acting School at New York University Tisch School of the Arts and an associate adjunct professor of directing at Columbia University Graduate Film Division as well as FIT Undergraduate Arts Division. He has been a guest teacher at Yale, Kenyon College, University of Vermont and Labrynth Theatre Company. He has also been a guest at The O’Neill Playwrights Conference as well as the American Theatre Wing. Neil holds an Honorary Doctorate as well as a BA from Kenyon College in Ohio. He has served on the Board of ART/NY as well as the Selection Committee for Harold and Mimi Steinberg Playwriting Award and the Pew Charitable Trust in Philadelphia.

KRISTIN CASKEY

Kristin Caskey is Executive Vice President of Content and Creative for Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) North America, where she oversees the programming and producing division. ATG is an international live-theatre company with close to 50 venues in Britain, the United States, Germany, and Australia. Kristin oversees the programming of ATG’s North American venues, which include the Hudson Theatre on Broadway, Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston, Saenger and Mahalia Jackson Theatres in New Orleans, and Majestic and Empire Theatres in San Antonio. Prior to joining ATG, Kristin was President of Fox Theatricals, where she produced theatre for Broadway, the West End, and National Tours and programmed the US Bank Broadway Series at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. Together with producing partner Mike Isaacson, Kristin has produced a number of award-winning Broadway shows including Fun Home (Tony Award); A Doll’s House Part 2; The Humans (Tony Award); If/Then; Grace; Bring it On; Red (Tony Award); Legally Blonde (London’s Olivier Award); Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony Award); One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Tony Award); Death of a Salesman (Tony Award); The Seagull; ‘night, Mother; Caroline, or Change (London’s Olivier Award); and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Off-Broadway credits include Everyday Rapture and Traces. Kristin is also a long-time member of the Independent Presenters Network, for whom she has produced The Color Purple (Tony Award), Kinky Boots (Tony Award), Matilda, Groundhog Day, and War Paint. She has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors for the Broadway League as well as serving on the Tony Management Committee.

 

DI GLAZER

Di Glazer is the Co-Head of Theater at ICM Partners. Glazer joined the powerhouse agency in 2010 as Herold’s assistant. She was accepted into the agent trainee program in 2011, became the department coordinator in 2012, and was promoted to agent in 2013. Glazer’s clients include Tony Award nominees Rachel Chavkin and Sam Pinkleton (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), Emmy Award nominee Theresa Rebeck (Smash), Sarah DeLappe (The Wolves), and writer/director Cory Finley (Thoroughbreds). She also represents playwrights Halley Feiffer,  Antoinette Nwandu and Lauren Yee, director Marc Bruni and choreographer Justin Peck (Broadway’s current revival of Carousel).

NEAL SHENOY

Neal Shenoy is a founding partner at [212]MEDIA which builds consumer media ventures in fragmented markets alongside major media companies. Shenoy cofounded each of the [212]MEDIA portfolio companies and currently serves as CEO and publisher of Speakaboos, a multi-platform subscription service for children’s interactive storybooks. Shenoy earned a BS/FS in international relations at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University where he served as the president of the School of Foreign Service Academic Council and received the prestigious Dean’s Citation for excellence in academics and leadership..

 

VERN CO

Vernaliz (Vern) Co is a TV Literary/Theatre Agent at The Gersh Agency based in New York.  In addition to representing TV writers and directors, Vern also works with playwrights who are interested in pursuing opportunities in TV.  A graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Business School, Vern has experience in media/entertainment, finance and technology. Previously, she was a Consultant at Assembly Entertainment and assisted with the company’s scripted development efforts.  Earlier in her career, Vern was the Director of Development at Cineflix Studios where she worked on COPPER for BBC America.  She was also responsible for developing original scripted content for Cineflix and working with talent, agents and managers to develop, acquire and sell scripted content to broadcasters worldwide. She has also held various positions at WME, IBM and Lehman Brothers.

Vern was previously a Board Member of Soho Rep, a leading hub for innovative contemporary theater in New York City. She is currently a volunteer with the Harvard Business School Club of New York, the New York Junior League and a member of the Junior Council at the American Museum of Natural History.

MIKE KARNS

Mike Karns is a Tony-nominated theater producer and entrepreneur. Karns is the Founder and CEO of Marathon Digital, a new force in the digital marketing space representing prominent influencers and revolutionary brands on Broadway and beyond. As a producer, Karns has been represented on Broadway productions of The Great Comet (Co-Producer) and Allegiance (Co-Producer), with strategic investments in Mean Girls, It's Only A Play, and Kinky Boots. His newest musical, Lempicka, will receive its World Premiere at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer directed by Tony nominee Rachel Chavkin and starring Tony nominee Carmen Cusack and Eden Espinosa. He is an active associate member of The Broadway League and serves on the Spring Road Conference planning committee.
During his early years, he played a key role in the meteoric resurgence of George Takei, who today is frequently referred to as one of the most popular personalities on social media. Mike's work has been featured in Forbes, Wired Magazine, Newsday, and on his parents' fridge. Other credits and collaborators include The Public Theater, The Vineyard, The American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards, and The Santa Fe Opera. Mike is an active member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the largest dues paying Alumni Association in the world. He serves as the President of the School of Theatre Alumni Programs Group. In 2016, he received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Penn State Alumni Association, and in 2017 he received the prestigious Alumni Achievement Award from the University.

SUSAN L. SCHULMAN

Susan L. Schulman has been a theatrical press agent for more than 40 years handling Broadway and Off Broadway plays and musicals, dance, TV, books, special events and individual personalities. The native New Yorker, Susan is a graduate of Hunter College High School and NYU with a Masters’ degree in Theatre from Columbia University. Susan’s many Broadway productions include Bob Fosse’s DANCIN’, STATE FAIR, Lauren Bacall in APPLAUSE, George C. M. KILBURG REEDY

M. Kilburg Reedy is an attorney with more than two decades of experience practicing in the areas of entertainment law and intellectual property, with a concentration in theater contracts, financing and securities, but also including work in publishing, film, television, copyright, trademark, digital media and music. A founding member of the boutique entertainment law firm Feldman, Golinski, Reedy + Ben-Zvi, Kilburg is also a Drama Desk and Tony-winning theater producer, whose Broadway co-producing credits include the upcoming Jagged Little Pill, and (as a partner in Radio Mouse Entertainment) Peter and the Starcatcher, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and Come From Away. Kilburg is also an award-winning playwright who is developing a play based on the classic British mystery novel about Richard III, Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time.

 

KEITH SHERMAN

Keith Sherman enjoys a communications career that began in the theatre and grew to include film, television, global events, media, music, lifestyles, sports and international brands through his company, Keith Sherman & Associates Public Relations, which was founded in 1989. ksa-pr.com

Keith has represented more than 300 Broadway, Off-Broadway and touring productions, He ran public relations for the Tony Awards for 18 years on behalf of The American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. For a decade he did PR for The New York Times. Since 1988 he has represented Olympic Gold Medalist Brian Boitano and he handled insurance broker Marsh & McLennan for over a decade.

Keith is in his sixth year representing the Drama Desk Awards and Feinstein’s/54 Below. Additional current projects include: BE MORE CHILL, DESPERATE MEASURES, Friedmans restaurants, The Al Hirschfeld Foundation, and on behalf of the New York Archdiocese, he represents The Sheen Center.

The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (ART) honored him with its 2015 Local Hero Award.

A graduate of Washington University, his first job was marketing director for the Roundabout Theatre. He subsequently worked for Seymour Krawitz, Gifford/Wallace, Henry Luhrman and Solters/Roskin/Friedman.

Keith was a Director of the BAFTA NEW YORK Board from 1998-2010. He is a member of two major entertainment publicity unions: The Association of Theatrical Press Agent and Managers (theatre) and The Publicists Guild (film).

Keith operates a second business, Helicline Fine Art, which offers 20th century American and European modernist paintings, sculptures and drawings.

NELLA VERA

Nella Vera is the Director of Marketing for BFV Management, a theatrical producing group that includes several current and upcoming Broadway and off Broadway properties, as well as Broadway’s premier supper club, Feinstein’s/54 Below. She is also the Director of Marketing for the Commercial Theater Institute, an organization dedicated to training and developing emerging theater producers. Prior, she was a Group Director at Serino/Coyne, New York's largest live entertainment marketing agency where she managed client relationships, provided strategic direction and campaign execution for Broadway and non-profit performing arts clients. As Director of Marketing and Communications at Theatre for a New Audience, she led the company’s marketing and branding efforts in the opening of a new center for Shakespeare and classical theater, resulting in a 300% increase in subscribers and doubling the number of patrons under the age of 30. For three years, she was the Director of Marketing at The Public Theater, where she oversaw marketing and audience development for five venues, as well as Shakespeare in the Park and the Under the Radar Festival. Other experience includes positions at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles, the Tony-winning Signature Theatre Company, and Manhattan Theater Club. Nella is a prolific speaker and presenter, and has appeared at the TCG Conference, the National Arts Marketing Conference, the Columbia Social Enterprise Conference, the Delaware Arts Summit, the APAP Conference, and others. She is a trainer/facilitator for Americans for the Arts, and sits on the planning committee for the National Arts Marketing Project Conference. She serves on the board of Waterwell, is an adjunct instructor in Arts Marketing at NYU, and has lectured at Yale, NYU, and Columbia. JASON COCOVINIS

Jason is a creative marketing and communications specialist with over 20 years of experience developing strategic campaigns and dynamic content for a wide variety of audiences. Jason joined Music Theatre International in 2008 helping to expand the company’s digital footprint, strengthen its third party marketing services, and unify its brand platforms.Prior to joining MTI, Jason was a Creative Director at the experiential marketing agency, Jack Morton Worldwide. In this role, Jason conceived and executed events and communications projects for several of the agency’s key accounts in the entertainment, healthcare and technology sectors. Jason began his career in public relations as an Account Executive at Ruder Finn and then moved on to manage the creative services department at Hemming+Gilman Productions, an event management and production firm.
