Lyric Writing Workshop
Led by 2018 Kleban Prize winning lyricist Amanda Yesnowitz, this workshop will examine the art and science of lyric writing.
Join 2018 Kleban Prize winning lyricist Amanda Yesnowitz for a comprehensive look into the art and science of writing lyrics for the theatre. Amanda will delve deep into rhyme, structure, and song form across various types of musicals using her own work and examples from the canon. Learn how to follow the rules and when to break them. She will also cover practical topics like submission techniques, collaboration, and general writing practices.
AMANDA YESNOWITZ: Winner of 2018 Kleban Prize, Jonathan Larson Award, Dramatists Guild Fellowship, Dottie Burman Award, Jamie deRoy and Friends Award, and 8 MAC nominations, all for excellence and vision in lyric writing.
