Tech Director & Associate Production Manager – Astoria Performing Arts Center

WHEN: Casting: March
Rehearsals begin 4/1/10 for 5 weeks (evenings and weekends)
Load-in begins 4/17/10
Tech begins 4/30/10
Run: 5/6 – 5/22/10 (Thursday thru Saturday, w/ possible extension through 5/29/10)SEEKING: A production staff for its upcoming AEA Showcase (approval pending) production of Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz & John Caird. Director: Tom Wojtunik.

SEEKING:

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
TD responsibilities include budgeting the design, coordinating the off-site build of scenery, and leading the onsite installation. Pre-production/Build will start in February and continue until load-in on 4/17. TD will be expected to be on site for load-in and tech. .

ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER
APM should have a working knowledge of all technical departments, ability to coordinate departments and work with designers to help realize their design. APM will report to the Season Production Manager, and will be expected to participate in all pre-production work beginning in February. APM will be an on-site presence from Load-in on 4/17 through hang and tech until opening 5/6.
