Memphis tells the fictional story of Huey Calhoun, one of the first white disc jockeys who dared to play rhythm & blues music for his white teenage listeners in the early 1950s.

SEEKING: Ensemble Dancers: Men and women, dancers who sing well, to play various ensemble characters (20s – 40s, all ethnicities). Seeking excellent, athletic dancers who sing. Tumbling a plus for men.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 (10 AM – Equity female dancers, 2 PM – Equity male dancers)

WHERE: Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, New York (between 35th and 36th St)

NOTES/WHAT TO BRING: Please come prepared to dance. Women bring flats and heels. Also prepare 16-bars of a pop/rock or R&B song in case you are asked to stay and sing. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Bring picture and resume, stapled together. Equity Chorus Procedures are in effect.

COMPENSATION: Broadway/Production Contract; $1605/week minimum
