POSITION: Production Manager

DESCRIPTION: The Public Theater seeks dynamic individual for the position of Production Manager who will be responsible for production activities related to assigned shows and events within six venues at The Public Theater and Shakespeare in the Park, plus additional programming. Work with creative, producing and production staff to realize the theater’s productions within the agreed budget parameters and available resources; hire and support stage management staff and crews in tandem with production department heads; Oversee the realization of all physical production elements, recommend budgets for performance and control expenditures within approved budgets. Develop and oversee schedules. Requirements: 5-7 years of experience in theater management, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Word and Excel, working knowledge of CAD a plus. Management experience, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to operate well under pressure in a hectic, fast-paced environment and a sense of humor are a necessity. Must be able to work on multiple large projects simultaneously.
