TOUR DATES: 1st tour rehearsal (NYC): August 23, 2010. Travel to Detroit MI: September 19. 1st preview: October 1.

COMPENSATION: Current minimum weekly salary: $1,605

SEEKING ENSEMBLE:

The Sharks: Characters are young, Puerto Rican males. Seeking actor/dancer/singers. Must be trained in ballet and jazz dancing. Fluency in Spanish is a must. Note: Equity Principal Dancer Auditions for the principal roles of Bernardo and Chino will be held separately; see separate notice.

Shark Girls: Characters are young, Puerto Rican females. Seeking actor/dancers who sing VERY well. Must be trained in ballet and jazz dancing. Fluency in Spanish is a must. Note: Equity Principal Dancer Auditions for the principal role of Anita will be held separately; see separate notice.

The Jets: Characters are young, Caucasian males. Seeking actor/dancers who also sing well. Must be trained in ballet and jazz dancing. Note: Equity Principal Dancer Auditions for the principal roles of Riff, Action, A-Rab, Snowboy, Big Deal, Baby John and Anybody's will be held separately; see separate notice.

Jet Girls: Characters are young, Caucasian females. Fierce. Seeking actor/dancers who also sing well. Must be trained in ballet and jazz dancing.

WHERE:

Chelsea Studios at 151 West 26th Street, 5th Floor, New York City

WHAT TO BRING:

Please be warmed up and ready to dance when your call begins. Jets: Jazz sneakers and knee pads. Sharks: Jazz sneakers. Jet and Shark Girls: Heels. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced. Please prepare a traditional musical theatre song. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.
