Are we coming out of the recession? Broadway knows.

Nothing makes me happier than when our boutique of a business gets the attention of bigger players in the world’s economy.

Last week, Nicholas Colas, Chief Market Strategist at BNY ConvergEx Group (a “premier provider of investment technology solutions and global agency brokerage services to institutional clients”), announced that he believes we are rounding the bend on consumer confidence.

How did he make this determination?

He stuck his economic thermometer into the mouth of Broadway.

Why?  “With the average price of a ticket to a big Broadway show $80, Broadway, the ‘Street of Dreams,’ is a good place to look for signs of renewed consumer confidence,” Nick said.

You can read about his report here.

Thanks for paying us some mind, Nick.  I’d love to dig a little deeper with you on a few issues, if you’ve got some time?

Oh, and since you’re so bullish about what’s happening in Midtown, I’m sure you’d be interested in investing in a couple of my shows, right?  Awesome.  I’ll put you down for 3 units/each.  You can thank me later.
