WHO: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

SEEKING: An Associate Web Developer to work closely with the Web Developer, senior staff, graphics team and consultants to help BC/EFA fulfill its mission and achieve and expand its goals through web development and online strategy, communication and fundraising.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Web Developer will assist with web site updates and the creation of new web pages for the BC/EFA, Classical Action and Dancers Responding to AIDS websites, in addition to designing, developing and producing daily and specialized fundraising reports as needed such as Raiser’s Edge, Convio and Crystal Reports. This person will coordinate and format e-mail campaigns and work with the Web Developer to manage/safeguard organization e-mail lists.

In collaboration with the Web Developer, the Associate Web Developer will work with BC/EFA staff to: develop and coordinate online fundraising efforts with respect to donations, team fundraising, event ticketing, merchandise sales and communication/ fundraising campaigns; ensure that the art design, page layouts and structure of the BC/EFA, DRA and CA websites and e-mail templates are consistent, sound and meet expected standards; ensure that all internet activity interfaces correctly with software programs such as Raiser’s Edge, event ticketing databases and PatronMail; and manage updates to 3rd party web services such as,, YahooStore! and social networking efforts.

This person will research and assess new internet technologies and trends that could benefit BC/EFA, DRA and CA.

• A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop, as well as a solid working knowledge of Convio online services and/or Blackbaud’s NetCommunity and Raiser’s Edge.
• Familiarity with the following programs a plus: Adobe Illustrator, Apple Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Access Databases, Crystal Reports.
• Experience with online fundraising and online event marketing a plus.
• Knowledge and skill with fundraising and marketing via hand held devices a plus.
• Familiarity with the following languages is a plus: ColdFusion, JScripts, ASP.Net, Cascading Style Sheet and ActionScript.

Candidates for this position should have an understanding and appreciation of Broadway and the theatre community, specifically how it relates to internet inter-activity.

Employees of Broadway Cares are also expected to participate in our major fundraising initiatives – especially “collections” at Broadway theatres during our Gypsy of the Year and Easter Bonnet Competitions and participating in our annual Broadway Bares and Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction.
