SEEKING: Group Sales Account Executives: Immediate Hire
ABOUT THE POSITION: The legendary exhibition, King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, is coming to New York City for it’s final North American stop. The highly anticipated exhibition will run from April 23, 2010 through January 2, 2011 at Discovery Times Square Exposition Center in the heart of New York City.
We are searching for a Group Sales Account Executive to help drive additional revenue through community outreach, group ticketing, and corporate event sales. In this capacity, the Group Sales Account Executive will research potential clients and corporate groups, pitch customized packages and procure sizeable, dedicated group sales. Will also work closely with Marketing Department and Group Sales Manager.
This position is a great opportunity for dedicated, personable individuals who are seeking challenges in a fast-paced, multifaceted organization. Will possess exceptional negotiation, teamwork and sales skills.
•Generate group sales by actively phoning prospects and responding to incoming calls and email. Significant prospects to be provided; additional creative sourcing and networking imperative.
•Complete the booking process from reservation, to invoicing, payment and ticket fulfillment.
•Maintain comprehensive records and accounting
•Courteous and professional care of group contacts and their needs
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
•Previous group ticket sales, and/or ticketing experience a plus
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, diplomatic, tactful, customer-focused with a professional phone manner and ability to interact professionally
•Proven self-starter with strong work ethic, self-motivated, resourceful, conscientious, punctual and energetic.
•$10 per hour plus 10% commission on all sales, benefits: none
