WHO: "Getting Even with Shakespeare" – FringeNYC

SEEKING:

Hamlet: male, 20s-30s, philosopher and understated leader of the group, stable, perceptive, a guy someone would want to be his best man

Ophelia 482 (a.k.a Jill Shanley): female, 20s, a 22-year-old aspiring actress, initally comes across as a bit clueless (perhaps due to self-absorption), but proves herself to be incredibly supportive, tenacious, and smart

Juliet: female, late-teens-20s, vicious prep school slut for whom centuries of bitterness and frustration have now been turned outward, manifesting in social climbing, recreational drug use and sex, and hurling abuses at Romeo

Matt: male, 20s-30s, the hero, a likeable guy, very competent professional with a supressed artist's soul, but the only question is whether he is a competent artist.

WHEN: Rehearsals begin mid-July. 5 performances with possible Encore Series extension, dates TBA. FringeNYC dates: August 13th-29th.

PAY:  individual stipend per AEA member
