Million Dollar Quartet – Open Call

WHAT: Million Dollar Quartet Open Call

ABOUT: The musical captures the memorable day when four Rock n’ Roll greats made music history. On December 4, 1956, an auspicious twist of fate brought together Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley at Sun Records’ storefront studio in Memphis, TN. The man who made it happen was the “Father of Rock ’n’ Roll,” Sam Phillips, who discovered them all. The four legends-to-be united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording session that has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time.

SEEKING: Performers wanted for the Broadway and Chicago companies of the Tony Nominated musical “Million Dollar Quartet”. We are looking for musicians to play the roles of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins.

HOW TO AUDITION:

When: Monday, July 19th 11am-2pm
Where: S.I.R studios
1101 Cherry Ave., Nashville TN

Notes/What to bring: Must be able to accompany yourself on acoustic guitar, electric guitar or piano performing a song by one of the artists listed above. Acting experience isn’t essential, but you must be able to convincingly portray one of our MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET when they were young! If you are auditioning for Jerry Lee Lewis, we’ll supply the piano, otherwise bring a guitar. This is NOT a legends show- it’s currently on Broadway, and will soon go overseas and on the road! Please bring updated photo/resume, a snap shot is fine!
