SEEKING: Programming Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage general ticketing/box office issues and house seats for artists, VIP, managers, and industry professionals. Liaise with other departments (marketing, development, press, media), Lincoln Center constituents, and off-site venue staff on ticketing issues. Analyze box office sales patterns which inform ticketing decisions. Handle subscriber and patron relations/problems in conjunction with the Visitor Services department. In addition, the Programming Associate will have occasional concerts to oversee the production of within Mostly Mozart and Great Performers. Responsibilities include: act as primary liaison with artists and managers, supervise production team (house manager, ushers, lighting/sound technicians), obtain artists’ visa permits, and coordinate rehearsals, hospitality services and piano tunings. Monitor production related expenses. Maintain appropriate records and information. Provide departmental administrative and production support as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS: Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of classical music and performing arts required. Ability to work nights and weekends on a regular basis. Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Must exhibit excellent judgment and flexibility. Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and database programs. Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously without losing sense of priorities. Minimum 3 years of experience in the field or related business. Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Arts Administration preferred
