SEEKING: Actors for AN IDEAL HUSBAND photo/resume request

NOTE: ALL ACTORS MUST HAVE FORMAL, CLASSICAL TRAINING AND SPEAK WITH A LEGITIMATE BRITISH ACCENT.

Mrs. Cheveley:
Female, late 30s to early 40s. An opportunistic woman who blackmails Sir Robert Chiltern into supporting her own fraudulent political scheme. Beautiful, mysterious, witty, and ambitious; she is an enigma. A cunning leading lady.

Lady Chiltern:
Female, 30s. Virtuous wife to Sir Robert Chiltern. She Is beautiful, warm, and intelligent, but also moralistic. She holds her husband up as an ideal. Leading lady.

Mabel Chiltern:
Female, late 20s. Sir Robert Chiltern’s plucky and spirited younger sister. Full of mischief and delicious wit.

Vicomte de Nanjac:
Male, 30s. Attractive and masculine French attaché. Speaks with a French dialect and has a comic/endearing lack of skill with the English language. Actor must speak in French credibly. Must understudy Lord Goring.

Mr. Montford:
Male, 30s. A quintessential, dandy. Perfectly groomed and always at the height of style and manners. Secretary to Sir Robert Chiltern. Must understudy Sir Robert Chiltern.

Mason:
Male, 50s/60s. The Chiltern’s Butler. Stately, formal, discreet, and efficient – the perfect English Butler. Comic ability a must. Must understudy Lord Caversham and Phipps.

WHEN: Deadline for sumbmissions is 11/23/10. NYC auditions will be held on December 6 and 7, 2010, by appointment only. 1st rehearsal: 2/1/11. Runs: 3/8/11 – 4/10/11 (possible extension to 4/14) Sidney Harman Theatre

PAY: $816/week minimum
