SEEKING: Part-time and full-time Winter/Spring Interns in the following departments: General Management, Company Management, Production, Marketing, Internet Marketing, Group Sales, and our Executive Department.
ABOUT: Davenport Theatrical Enterprises is an independent theatrical production, development, marketing, advertising, management, and consulting company based in New York City. Founded in 2004 by Ken Davenport, DTE produces, develops, and manages theatrical productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on National Tours, and around the world. Credits include the upcoming revivals of Godspell and A Few Good Men, Broadway productions of Oleanna starring Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles, Speed-the-Plow starring Raul Esparza, Will Ferrell’s You’re Welcome America, Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury, and 13, as well as the Off-Broadway productions of Avenue Q, Altar Boyz, The Awesome 80s Prom, Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage, My First Time, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, Power Balladz, and the upcoming Blind Date. DTE operates the theater community’s social networking website BroadwaySpace.com, which has just launched the new Broadway board game Be A Broadway Star. PAY: A stipend is paid upon successful completion of the internship program.
WHEN: The upcoming Winter/Spring internships will be from the beginning of January through May 2011. Applicants must be willing to commit to at least 20 hours a week (weekend hours are available for the Management and Executive internships).
