Site Director – Wingspan Arts

WHO: Wingspan Arts is a provider of innovative, high-quality arts enrichment programs for school-aged children.

SEEKING: Site Director to manage the daily operations of K-5 afterschool program. We are looking for an experienced and motivated self-starter who is committed to arts education. The candidate should be prepared to be a part of a successful and rapidly growing arts education organization.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have:

Strong LEADERSHIP qualities;
BACKGROUND IN THE ARTS (creativity, design-savvy, presentation skills);
BACKGROUND IN EDUCATION (evaluate teachers, design curriculum, implement positive atmosphere);
EXPERIENCE managing people and supervising day-to-day operations of a large program;
Excellent COMMUNICATION skills to liaise with principal, administrators and parents during club time;
ABILITY to inspire and motivate a community of children, parents and teachers;
ORGANIZATIONAL, INTERPERSONAL & TECHNOLOGY SKILLS, plus a commitment to working in a high energy, team-oriented environment;
A DESIRE to cultivate and nurture a commitment to the arts in the children we serve.

Work: on-site in one school location (Manhattan & Brooklyn Locations)
Hours: 20-25 hours/week (2:30-6pm + off site duties)
Salary: Part time/commensurate with experience
