Apprentice Program- Williamstown Theatre Festival

WHO: Williamstown Theatre Festival

SEEKING:

Applications for its 2011 Apprentice Company.

The WTF Apprentice Program is a hands-on, fully immersive introduction to the world of professional theatre experienced during the summer season of the Tony Award-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Apprentices have the opportunity to audition for Festival productions and participate in the numerous projects, productions, and special events sponsored by the Festival and directed by the Festival Directing Corps.

An apprentice’s theatrical experience is not built on performance opportunities alone. Apprentices work on a number of crews and positions throughout the summer that make the season possible. Apprentices also take part in a unique classroom-learning experience. Resident artists teach a variety of classes across many disciplines and master classes with world-renowned visiting artists are scheduled this summer. We are pleased to announce that comedian and playwright Lewis Black will be teaching a stand up comedy class for the 2011 season. College credit can be arranged through some academic institutions.

WHEN: 6/15/2011-8/22/2011

HOW TO APPLY: For more information about this extraordinary opportunity and to complete an application, please visit www.wtfestival.org/actors_apprentice. All applications must be post marked by March 15, 2011.
