Production Stage Manager – TADA! Youth Theater

WHO: TADA! Youth Theatre

SEEKING: TADA!, Drama Desk Award Winning Youth Theater, is looking for a non-equity Production Stage Manager to start immediately. World Premiere musical, Odd Day Rain, already in rehearsal and our stage manager got a Broadway gig.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Stage Manager job duties include: running rehearsals and performances; overseeing ASM, PA’s, and Costumer/Wardrobe Supervisor; running production meetings with the Production Supervisor; calling the show; running sound board; hands on during load-in and strike; maintaining production book and all paperwork; correspondence with cast and their parents; and maintaining discipline in rehearsals and during performance run.

REQUIREMENTS: Looking for a experienced stage manager who has working knowledge of the technical aspects of theater production (production design incorporates video and projection) , experience working on musicals as well as experience working with youth (28 member cast comprised of Ensemble Members ages 9 – 17). Must be organized and detail-oriented and a great communicator.

WHEN: Now through 5/23/2011

Part-time job. Schedule for stage manager for rehearsals is basically Wednesday – Saturdays (Wednesdays – Fridays, 2:30 – 8pm, Saturdays, 9:30am – 6:30pm). Tech with additional hours: April 8 – 14 Performances: April 15 – May 22, basically Saturday and Sundays at 2 & 4. No performances April 23, 24 or May 8. Additional performances April 29, May 2 and May 20 at 7pm and May 18th at 10am and Noon.

PAY: Weekly salary.
