Seeking New Musicals- Tin Lion Theatre
WHO: Tin Lion Theatre
SEEKING: Submissions of new original musicals for its inaugural production. Will be produced summer/fall 2011 in Manhattan under an AEA showcase code (pending). Musicals should be able to be performed with a cast of no more than 15 actors and limited technical demands. All musical styles are welcome.
Tin Lion Theatre believes at the heart of theatre lies emotional content, rich characters and a thought-provoking experience. We are affected by it. We are fulfilled by it.
TLT strives to inspire its audience and remind them why they decided to hire a babysitter, drive into midtown and pay for parking in the first place.
Through original works, new masterpieces and the classics that we grew up with, we hope to inspire a jaded community to prove that significant theatre can exist and even thrive amidst the current mega-budget commercial model.
