WHO: Triangle Theatre Company

SEEKING: Three young men from the west coast, their one dream was to visit New York City for a fun weekend. Will they ever forget the incident that occured? What really happened that night?

Triangle Theatre Company is casting males for a 30 minute dramatic one act play titled, CROSSING VERRAZANO, to be presented this July, as part of a one act play competition. The story is based on a true event. The roles of Bruno and Mario must be physically fit, and good with stage combat. There will be a table reading scheduled the first week of June. This is a gay themed play, seeking all types.

Currently Casting the roles of:

Bryan: 20-30, Confident, protective of his friends, has good intentions, can be judgemental.

Casey: 20-30, Somewhat effeminate, flirtatious, can be easily persuaded. Some stage combat is helpful.

Trevor: 20-30, Effeminate, over the top, good sense of humor.

Bruno: 20's, Bad boy type, intimidating looks, sexy, macho, sarcastic wit.

Mario: 20's, Bad boy type, intimidating looks, macho, nervous, sarcastic wit.

Detective: 25 and over, physically fit, strong voice. Small role, has a monologue, also can double as the bartender.

Male Stripper: 20’s, Muscular, good mover, non speaking role.

REQUIREMENTS: This is a non equity production. All actors must not have any lengthy conflicts from June until August 7. You must be flexible with rehearsal times. Please note that you may perform up to 5 times during the run of the festival.

WHEN: 6/2/2011 – 8/7/2011

PAY: Each actor will be compensated 150.00, only if the play is selected as the best play of the festival.

Sign in and holding area will be in the lounge. Please wait to be called.

Notes/What to bring:

Please bring a current headshot and resume stapled together, or you will not be seen. Prepare a short dramatic monologue under one minute. You may be asked to stay and read from a side, time permitting.
