SEEKING: Seeking Ensemble Singers (M/F): Featured characters include: Adarene: Late 30s – early 40s. Texas woman with great humor and great heart. On the surface, perhaps a bit bookish and shy … but only on the surface, and in comparison with her friends. Mezzo soprano. Analita: Latina, 20s. Daughter of one of the working families on Reata who are innermost with the Benedict family. Bright, sassy and moves well. Mezzo/belt with high mix. Woman: Plays characters in their 30s. Seeking beautiful actress w/comic flair & strong singing voice. Needs the ability to delineate a line of roles, w/access to a range of regional American dialects & foreign accents, etc. Characters include a Texas beauty queen and an aristocratic English woman, among others. Mezzo soprano w/mix. Pinkie: Man, late 30s – early 40s. Ranch-hand turned oil-baron husband. Role for a unique-looking character actor with humor and quirk who, however unlikely, in his own way, still looks like a cowboy. High tenor. Bobby Jr / Sr: 20s. Good-natured young man with big plans for the ranch. High baritone. Ensemble Men: Characters are in their 30s-40s . Seeking baritones and tenors, with strong singing voices. Need the ability to delineate a line of roles, with access to a range of regional American dialects and foreign accents, etc. Play Texas ranchers, oil lobbyists, an aristocratic Englishman and others  

REQUIREMENTS: Please prepare 16 bars of an American standard or contemporary musical theater song. No pop/rock/R&B. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose. No a cappella singing

WHEN: 1st reh (NYC): 12/1/11. 1st reh (Dallas): 1/6/12. Dallas run: 1/18 – 2/19/12.

PAY: $710/week minimum.
