Ken Salmon:
30s. Unproduced playwright. Melancholy and seemingly fragile, but capable of ironic humor and sudden bursts of enthusiasm.
Peter Vitale:
40s-50s. Ken's landlord. Divorced, unemployed construction foreman. Active in community youth activities. Rough-edged, with an expansive, good-humored manner.
Wendy Salmon:
30s. Ken's wife. Stunningly beautiful. We see her only though a series of e-mail messages.
Seamus Yoshida:
Half-Japanese, half-Irish man, 40s-50s. Pete's best friend. Owner of a jewelry store. Married, but unfaithful to his wife. Blunt and cynical.
