Fun on a Friday: A glimpse at the stars of tomorrow.

A couple of weeks ago, I held an audition for kids ages 6 – 16 for a promotion called The Godspell Cast of 2032.  Over 500 kids showed up.

I was blown back by the talent, as was the entire creative team.

We chose 10 of them, taught them a Godspell medley, and had them perform it in our curtain call on Tuesday night.

And it was . . . well, I can’t even describe it.  So I’ve posted the video, which racked up 10,000 views in a few hours, below.

Watch it.  I guarantee it’ll put some serious joy into your Friday.

This is genius. Everyone loves kids and then love being happy. 20,000 people now about Godspell and they’ll have a smile on their face whenever then hear the name of see the ads. Also, it’s just adorable. Those are some talented kids.

Incredibly talented kids! Makes me so proud to watch, even though they’re not my kids…lol

I played JC in a local production a couple of years ago…at a CHURCH! It was magical. I hope these (ridiculously talented) young people get to do the full show some day. Thanks for this. It made me smile, a lot!

What a wonderful group of talented kids.

And what a wonderful producer to come up with such a terrific idea or if not come up with it, encourage it.

I would buy a ticket just to experience the love that obviously inhabits that theater. At its core, the show’s about love, and anyone who loves theatre as much as Ken obviously does should take a bow every night and deserves, not just a Tony, but a “Super Tony.”
