The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to the newest Hot Spot on Broadway

There’s a brand spanking new place to see stuff and a new place to be seen that just opened up called . . . 54 Below.

Where is it?

Below Studio 54.

It’s kind of a mashup of Bar Centrale and Feinstein’s.  See, in addition to food and drink, they’ve got a cabaret room . . . and because the brains behind 54 Below have got some serious connections (including Hairspray and Smash’s Scott Wittman as well as a few Tony Award winning Designers), the room already has soom serious headliners.

Patti Lupone, Jackie Hoffman, Andrea Martin, and Brian d’Arcy James are just a few of the whos-who who’ve got shows lined up for June and July.

But one of the coolest shows they’re hosting is something called New Mondays, where established songwriting vets and the “ones to watch” get a chance to debut brand spanking new material in front of an audience.

The first one is on June 4th and it features David Zippel (City of Angels, The Goodbye Girl, Woman in White), Steve Marzullo (Somedays), and Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown)  with Annie Golden, Lindsay Mendez, Darren Ritchie and others lending their vocal chops.

Sounds fun, right?  New stuff?  Great singers?

Free tickets?

Done.

Here’s how to win 2 tickets to the first 54 Below New Mondays concert:

Performing a cabaret show (as yourself) is a lot different than playing a role and being able to hide behind a character.

Comment below with the name of an artist (can be anyone . . . Hollywood star, Broadway star, or your Aunt Ethel) that you’d like to see perform in cabaret.

And then, for extra credit, give the show a title.

Example?  Barry Manilow:  I literally write the songs that make the whole f’in world sing, but my musical Harmony still hasn’t made it to Broadway.
