Marketing Manager – National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbiene
The National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbiene is seeking a hands-on marketing professional. Responsibilities include: overseeing website renovation, providing website maintenance, creation and maintenance of marketing schedule/calendar, all season and single ticket marketing including brochures, postcards, email and social media outlets, coordination of graphics, purchase of advertising, media buys, creating production programs, creating and managing membership solicitations and privileges, supervising group sales manager. Desired starting date: August 1 to August 15. The candidate should have at least 5 years of professional marketing experience.

Founded in 1915, the National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbiene is the nation’s preeminent professional Yiddish theater and the longest continuously operating Yiddish theater in the world. Its mainstage productions, children’s productions and touring shows play to some 30,000 individuals each year. English and Russian supertitles make the Folksbiene’s award-winning Yiddish productions accessible, enjoyable and relevant for audiences of all ages and backgrounds who seek to understand the diversity, history and culture of the city. At least one show each season is in Yiddish; other shows are in English and provide an insight into Yiddish culture and promote Jewish continuity. In 2007 the National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbiene received a special Drama Desk award “for preserving for 92 consecutive seasons the cultural legacy of Yiddish-speaking theatre in America.”
