Set on the fictitious island of Nollop. The residents of this utopian land are thrown into chaos when tiled letters start tumbling from a revered saying emblazoned in the town square. Taking it as a sign, the local government forbids the use of each letter as it falls. Any infraction is met with harsher and harsher punishment until most of the community has been banished, leaving the few remaining citizens left to save their language from shrinking into prehistoric grunts. It is a whimsical yet powerful tale about the will of a community to support one another under the most trying circumstances.

  • “I will look into that alibi as well,” he said coldly.

  • The week was over, our bags packed, tickets bought. It was time to go-and begin earning money again. It hurt to spend my own money as I had been doing since Chaise produced his microscopic contract.

  • “We’ll do better than that. I will, me, Believer, will keep an eye on this superswine. That frees James with his computer know-how to do a little snooping around in the public records of Sunkist-by-the-Sea. See if we can’t track down his property holdings. “

  • She smiled and waved at me when Grissini looked away. I applauded until my hands hurt. The music crescendoed as he held up a large metal hoop, bounced it on the floor to prove its solidity-then slowly slipped it over her head. Moved it down the entire length of her body. Even around her feet to show that that she was truly suspended invisibly in midair. My hands were numb with unceasing applause.

  • Youre so right. Im there with you. Your blog is unquestionably worth a read if anybody comes across it. Im lucky I did because now Ive acquired a whole new view of this. I didnt realise that this issue was so important and so universal. You surely put it in perspective for me.
