Your conference this week got me thinking. My local movie theatre presents opera from the met on limited dates and advertises the same in the preview trailers. I’m not sure if it is film or live streaming. Why don’t you look into the possibility of live streaming Broadway shows for single or limited performances at selected venues? This would raise revenue, preclude pirating and promote the shows. You would capture those who love theatre but can’t afford to travel and motivate those who can travel to go to NYC more often. You could have your own trailers advertising other Broadway shows. Perhaps you could contact the Met and see how they do it as a starting point. I believe theatre lovers would pay a premium price (i.e. mote than a movie but less than Broadway) You could even sell seasons and create subscribers. Just a thought.
