The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to The Fabulous Lipitones at Goodspeed Opera House

Back when I was an actor, I appeared in four productions of Forever Plaid.  Oh man, there was nothing sweeter than singing those four-part harmonies.

Doing Plaid was one of the reasons I conceived Altar Boyz, with fellow Plaidite, Marc Kessler.  We saw how audiences reacted to a group of dudes singing those tight harmonies.  And we thought we could create a show based on a similar concept.

And when you think about it, Jersey Boys is the same idea, isn’t it?  There’s just something about watching and listening to those kind of groups.

And here comes the latest!  It’s The Fabulous Lipitones, written by the prolific Mark St. Germaine (Freud’s Last Session, Best of Enemies, All The Way, etc.).  The Fabulous Lipitones is about a barbershop quarter (awww, can’t you just hear the sound already?) that gets a new member who is a little bit different than the other three (I’ll give you a hint – there’s a turban in the title treatment.).  And as the website says, it’s a “hilarious and moving story of friendship, prejudice and the power of song.”

Lipitones goes up at Goodspeed Opera House in just a couple of weeks, and one of you is going for freezies.

Here’s how to enter to win:

Come up with a name for a barbershop quarter.  Anything.  “The Barber Poles”.  “Harmonies ‘R Us”.  The cheesier the better.  My favorite wins.

Go!
