POSITION: Marketing Director
DESCRIPTION:Atlantic Theater Company, an award-winning Off-Broadway, not-for-profit theater dedicated to producing great plays simply and truthfully seeks a dynamic Marketing Director to lead their marketing, public relations, institutional branding and customer service programs. Ideal candidate will have arts experience in strategic marketing, proven track record in meeting income goals, media buying, staff leadership, and customer service management.
The Marketing Director creates, develops, and executes all marketing initiatives which focus on audience development, in-house direct mail and e-mail campaigns, group sales and surround events; secures advertisements (both trade and paid); coordinates all press-related activities with Press Representative; and oversees the Atlantic Theater Company and Acting School’s marketing and web initiatives.
Qualifications: knowledge of NYC theater community; organized self-starter; effective and creative strategic thinker to implement innovative marketing strategies to maintain and expand both a member-based and single-ticket buying audience; exceptional communication and writing skills; MS Office; design software; Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, audience development or similar field. Position reports to the Managing Director.
