POSITION: Group Sales Account Executive

DESCRIPTION: Group Sales Account Executive – Peabody Opera House/Scottrade Center is responsible for selling and servicing group ticket clients and aggressively developing creative, new group sales packages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Handle group sales for existing accounts and promote the annual touring family & theater shows, sporting events and select concerts to those accounts. Further develop business from existing accounts by maintaining consistent follow-up.

•Develop new group sales through active cold calling for the annual touring family & theater shows, sporting events and select concerts.

•Develop new and exclusive group events to enhance sales channels relative to Peabody Opera House and Scottrade Center.

•Demonstrate consistency and a passion to achieve personal and corporate revenue goals and objectives.

•Work events visiting key accounts to maximize guest service and further develop relationships. Coordinate dining portion of group ticket packages with appropriate department and assist with the fulfillment of group package amenities and incentives.

•Solicit group sales, season subscription sales and various hospitality packages to new and existing accounts and promote the annual touring family & theater shows, events and select concerts to those accounts. Further develop business from existing accounts by maintaining consistent follow-up.

•Help plan, organize and execute all Group Sales Account parties/special events. Assist in the development of incentive programs for group leaders.

•Receive and resolve guest questions and concerns and work with appropriate department to resolve seat relocation issues.

•Meet pre-set individual goals to help achieve a team group sales goal.

•Maintain Scottrade Center and Peabody Opera House Guest Service, Team Member and Appearance standards.

•Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year sales experience, preferably in professional sports, theater or events industry.

•Ability to aggressively cold call is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including database and presentation programs as well as ticketing software.

•Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
