Who won the tickets to The Winslow Boy on Broadway?

This week’s entries to win tickets to The Winslow Boy reads like a Broadway revival yearbook. Just scrolling through the titles of these revivals brought back such memories for me.

The David Cromer Our Town, the Hal Prince Show Boat (I was the Assoc. Company Manager on that one!), the Pre-National Nick Hytner Carousel . . .

Huh.  Just listing these makes me realize something . . . Directors make or break Broadway revivals.  (Want more proof of this?  See the John Tiffany Glass Menagerie that’s running right now.)

And who said you couldn’t learn anything in a Sunday Giveaway!

But that’s not why you entered, so let’s give away some Broadway tickets.

Normally I choose these winners randomly, but this week I read a comment that I had to do something about.  Francesca commented that she had never seen a revival of a Broadway show.

Well, Francesca that is about to change, because you win.  You’re going to see The Winslow Boy on Broadway courtesy of Roundabout Theatre.  Email me to set up your first revival experience.

And in addition to Winslow Boy, there are some other killer revivals running right now.  Check ’em out!

Hi – just a lurker, hoping to be a play write, out here, sharing my first revival story ~ in 1965, as a high school graduation gift, my mom took me to see Carousel w/John Raitt, at Lincoln Center. Seeing tears on her face almost throughout the play, I finally figured out, my present was her own – as she had seen Carousel w/Mr. Raitt, about 20 years before. Thanks for reminding me.
