POSITION: Company Manager

DESCRIPTION: The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Company Manager. The Company Manager is responsible for representing STC to our artists for our core mainstage season and international presentations, insuring their comfort and safety throughout their residency. S/he cultivates hotel and housing relationships, serves as a main point of contact for all actors and stage managers, and arranges travel and accommodations for all visiting artists. The Company Manager is also responsible for artist related budget projecting and tracking and administering artist contracts. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts Management or a related field, 2-3 years professional company management experience, and a keen instinct for customer service. Must be able to work well in an active, team-based environment while being able to concentrate and perform under deadlines. Creative problem solving, diplomacy, and business sense are required. Evenings and weekends required. The Company Manager supervises the CM intern and reports directly to the Chief Production Officer. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
