The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to Craving for Travel!

Just in time for Christmas vacation comes an Off Broadway play about . . . people taking a vacation.  And we’ve got two tickets to give away for free.

Here’s what Craving for Travel (which opens its limited 4 week engagement on January 9th) is about:

Gary and Joanne, rival travel agents and former spouses, are vying for their industry’s most prestigious honor: the Globel Prize. With their reputations on the line, they’ll tackle any request, no matter how impossible, and any client, no matter how unreasonable. Full of overzealous travelers, overbooked flights, and hoteliers who are just over it, Craving for Travel reminds us why we travel…and everything that can happen when we do.

What that description doesn’t tell you is that the play has over 30 characters . . . and only 2 actors.  Now we’re talking theatrical, right?

Whether it’s this seasons A Gentleman’s Guide . . . or Charles Ludlam’s Mystery of Irma Vep, the theater is full of plays that use a tiny cast but a long character list to tell its story.  And in most of those cases, that’s the reason the play is put on the stage in the first place!

And now Craving for Travel becomes a part of that canon.

But what if there were more . . .

Imagine that you were the Artistic Director of a Non-Profit theater.  And your budget just got slashed to 10% of its original size (sorry if this hits too close to home for some of you . . . stupid financial crisis).  Now imagine that you have to produce a new interpretation of a classic play or musical . . . but with only 2 actors.

What play or musical would you do?  Comment below and you could win two tickets to Craving for Travel.
