The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to Pageant!

Ahhhh, Pageant takes me back . . . back to The Golden Age of Off Broadway, the early 90s.  Back when shows like NunsenseForever Plaid, and yep, Pageant itself could open up Off Broadway and sit down for years.

I came to New York in ’91, and fell in love with Off Broadway and shows like And The World Goes ‘Round and so many more.  That time in my life is what inspired me to help create Altar Boyz and start my producing career Off Broadway instead of On.

And one of those shows I fell in love with was, yep, you guessed it, Pageant.

In case you missed it in ’91, or in case you weren’t even born yet, now’s your chance to see it again, because this intimate beauty pageant featuring all guys playing all the girls is coming back to NYC for just four weeks!  Oh, and get this, it’s not playing a traditional theater (as it shouldn’t).  No way.  Pageant’s performances are at the famed drag restaurant, Lucky Cheng’s.

And guess what?  We’ve got two tickets to give away!  Woo-hoo!

How do you win?

I want you to tell me your best drag name.  Make one up.  Bonus points if it’s based on a musical, or a play, or something theatrical.  You know, like, Rhoda-Head.  (Get it?  Road Ahead?)  Ok, ok, so I wouldn’t win.  But you can . . . just start thinking drag and comment below!
