Wanna learn how to get your project to a Producer? This panel’s for you.

The Off Broadway Alliance is at it again.

I’m constantly being asked by consulting clients and seminar participants, “How do I get a producer for my play/musical/one-man-whatever?”

There are a ton a tricks and tips and strategies that I’ve taught over the years, some of which I’ve revealed on this very blog.

And now the Off Broadway Alliance has assembled a group of Off Broadway experts to talk about this very same subject.

This Sunday, January 12th, at The Snapple Theater Center, the OBA will present a panel entitled “Connecting the Off Broadway Project to Producer” and will feature panelists Kellen Blair (co-creator of Murder for Two), Seth Rudetsky (co-creator of Disaster! and producer of Unbroken Circle), James Wesley (playwright of Unbroken Circle and producer of Disaster!), and Michael Alden (producer of Becoming Dr. Ruth, The King’s Speech, Grey Gardens, Bridge & Tunnel).  The panel will be moderated by the King of Off Broadway marketing himself, Hugh Hysell.

And you can attend for freezies (that means free, for those of you who don’t speak dorky Davenport).  The doors open at 11:30 for comp coffee and bagels and then the panel runs from high noon until 1:30 with some networking time after.  And do stick around.  Maybe you’ll meet my new Marketing Director, Amanda Bohan, who’ll be there with Off Broadway bells on. She’d love to say hi.
