POSITION: Administrative Assistant
DESCRIPTION:Vice President/Agent of a New York Theatrical Agency specializing in the representation of playwrights, composers, lyricists, directors, choreographers and designers for Broadway, Off-Broadway, opera and international productions, as well as film and television, seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant, with at least two years of work in professional environments. An ideal position for someone with prior experience in the business side of theatre, as a general knowledge of the commercial theatre community is essential.
Responsibilities include all general office, administrative, secretarial and client services. Seeking a highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail as the position includes access to negotiations, contracts and financial matters. Candidate must have the ability to multi-task; be computer literate (multiple programs); have excellent writing and verbal skills; be able to conduct business under occasional high pressure; must be self-motivated and able to work effectively on their own. A college degree is required.
Candidate must be able to join several agents and assistants in the division and work as part of a team. This position has an excellent opportunity for growth. The salary is commensurate with experience.
