The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to The Bardy Bunch Off Broadway!

In case some of you thought that headline was a typo, and I inverted a couple o’ letters, let me say for the record . . . The Brady Bunch has not, I repeat, has not, been developed into a Broadway musical.

Yet.

Until then, we’re giving away two tickets to The BARDY Bunch!

Back in 2011, this show (whose full Fringey title is The Bardy Bunch: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady) premiered at the NY International Fringe Festival, sold out, and even took home the Outstanding Ensemble award.
And now, the Bradys and the Partridges are back at it again through April 13th only at the St. Clement’s Theatre.

It’s a fun idea whose time has come . . . again, apparently.  Here’s the blurb from their website:

In the summer of 1974, the Brady and Partridge Families, recently canceled by ABC and no longer under America’s watchful eye, met in a blood-soaked, passion-filled, vengeance-fueled, very special episode of Shakespearean proportions.

Nothing like taking Shakespeare and turning it upside down . . . and making its heroes cheesy sitcom characters.

Admit it.  You want to go.  I bet even all you Shakespeare purists out there who think the Bard’s plays should only be performed in full Elizabethan dress, in front of groundlings, are intrigued.

Well, here’s how you win:

Let’s continue with this little game.  Tell me the name of a sitcom character from past, present, or future, that you’d like to cast in a Shakespearean play.  For example, “Tony” from Who’s The Boss as Hamlet.  Or, Blossom as Cordelia.  Get it?  (Bonus points for coming up with a punny title to go along with it.)

Cast it and go!
