Who won the tickets to my Tony Party?

Can you believe it’s only 8 days before T-Day?

I’m feeling like a little kid on Christmas Eve.   There are so many possibilities!  What will the opening number be?  Will they show numbers from next season’s musicals (Hamilton anyone?)?  Will we beat last year’s ratings???

I’ll be watching from a bar, with a plate of wings and mozzarella sticks in front of me . . . and one of you will be joining me and the rest of the Davenport family.

So who won the tickets to my Tony Party?

Congratulations to Richard Levins!  You win.  Check your email, Rich, and you’ll get instructions on who/what/where/why and how high Kristin Chenoweth’s heels are going to be!

There’s still time to enter my Tony Pool and win an Apple Watch, btw.  Click here.

And what are you doing on Tony day?  Are you throwing a party?  Comment below on what your plans are . . .

I absolutely forgot June 7 was the date for Tony Day this year! I’m actually having a first read-through with full cast that afternoon. I’ll be going out of town for it, but hopefully will be able to get back home in time to see at least part of the Tonys.

I’m in San Francisco, so I’ll be going to a Tony watching party at Feinstein’s. I’m studying hard for the trivia contest!

I’M AFRAID THIS YEAR’S RATINGS WILL BE FAR FAR BELOW THE YEARS OF HUGH JACKMAN AND NEIL PATRICK HARRIS HOSTING…. IN SPITE OF THEIR HUGE HUGE TALENTS, KRISTIN CHENOWETH AND ALAN CUMMINGS ARE NOT A TV RATINGS DRAW. I HOPE I’M PROVEN WRONG.

I’ll be at The Collaborator Party, supporting sound designers and all others who do so much great work in theatre and deserve more recognition than they’re getting. Check it out here:
