And the 2015 Broadway Producer of the Year is . . .

Well, my friends, your votes have been counted . . . and oh boy oh boy oh was this a tight race.  Just a handful of votes separated the winner, the runner up AND the 2nd runner up!

Yep, there were a lot of great Producers putting up great shows this year.

But there can only be one winner.

So, cue the drum roll and the trumpets and the confetti . . . because the winner of The Producer’s Perspective 2015 Broadway Producer of the Year is . . .

A Nonprofit Producer!

(Cue the gasps!)

Ladies and Gentlemen, you have chosen Oskar Eustis as Broadway Producer of the Year!!!

Oskar is only the second Nonprof Producer of the Year we’ve had, but I can totally see why you voted him in.  From Fun Home to Hamilton to the upcoming Eclipsed, the man is helping to shape theatrical history, and we’re lucky enough to be able to watch him do it.

Join me in congratulating Oskar!

And maybe next year, we’ll see YOU on that list of nominees.

Hi Ken, First off I wanted to congratulate Oskar Eustis on becoming 2015’s Producer of The Year. This post has inspired me to be on the list of Nominees one day. I would like to see my name up there by this time next year and I will work super hard to make that happen. I never thought I would be producing but since I got the opportunity out here in San Diego to start and run my own theatre company I’ve found my calling. I’ve been following you for some time now and you may recognize me from my Broadway Cafe days when I thought I was going to be a restauranteur. Well things have changed and I’m looking only onward and upward towards this new path. I’m looking forward to purchasing your modules on Producing shows once I have the money to do so. My first two shows left me quite in the hole but I’m not upset, I’m taking it as a learning experience and I’m going to keep moving forward. I hope you are well Ken and have a wonderful day!
