The Sunday Giveaway: A week of free rent at the Davenport Theatre, worth $3,500!

Well, we’re just giving away the store here.

Last week, we gave away a $1,200 membership to TheProducersPerspectivePRO and this week, we’re giving away . . . well . . . a week!

That’s right, my chickadees, the winner of this week’s giveaway is getting a whole week’s worth of rent in the black box of the Davenport Theatre!

Why are we giving away a week’s worth of rent?

The biggest challenge I hear from my coaching and consult clients when budgeting their shows is the cost of theater space in this city.  NYC is one of the most expensive cities in the world to own property.  Since the owners of the buildings in our fair city had to go deep in the hole to make their purchase, they have to pass that expense on to their renters, and small theaters are no exception.  Since we have high rents to pay, we have to charge a certain rent just to break even.  Vicious circle of real estate life.

But since my mission is to get more people out there producing, we’re going to break that circle and give one of you the keys to the space to do whatever you want.

So if you’ve got a show . . . or heck, even if you don’t have a show but WILL have one by the time you get your free week (nothing like having a free week of a theater to inspire you to create something), enter to win this week’s giveaway here.

And make sure you check out how you can earn extra entries.

Good luck everyone!

(Oh and a head’s up . . . we’ve got another way for you to get cheap space coming soon.  Subscribe to the blog to make sure you don’t miss out on this one.)
