The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to American Psycho on Broadway
There was a time when someone might have said, “American Psycho? That shouldn’t be a musical.”
But what I love about living in the modern age of musical theater is that previous notions about what “should be” have been shattered. The truth is, any story can be musicalized, as along as you have a “killer” group of artists to do that storytelling.
And oh do they have that on Psycho, with genre bustin’ Duncan Sheik providing the score (who already broke a few boundaries with Spring Awakening), and the Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, behind the book (an inspired choice for this super-villain-type story), and Rupert Goold (the director behind another realistic-fantasy, Enron) captaining the ship.
Oh, and dare I forget to mention Ben Walker, who I believe is one of the top five male musical theater performers we have working in our midst (when Hollywood lets him come back to play). Ben’s bloody fingerprints are all over the show and it’s fantastic to watch him do his stuff . . . with his clothes on or off.
And now, you’re going to get to see him do his stuff (which may or may not involve killing people, by the way) for free, thanks to today’s giveaway!

Enjoy . . . and be inspired . . . not to murder people, of course . . . but to push musical boundaries the way these skilled artists have.
